Your screenshot shows the end result, but do you also have more details about the “bunch of error messages”?
Because this sounds very much to have been a temporary issue with BGA itself or maybe your connection.
So nothing to be fixed in the Fluxx game implementation.

Hello,
I appreciate your point. I feel that the problem may have happened due to too many Fluxx rules interacting. The error messages happened right after one of new rules I think (screenshot shows move #66). It was several (2, maybe 3) red bars one under another, but they flashed and then the game froze. The specific error messages disappeared before I was able capture (or even) read them. After I reloaded the page, I saw the message I took a screenshot of.

The other players also saw some error messages and we all commented that the game may have crashed. So, I think this invalidates issue being my connection only.

Ok, I checked the replay again, but I don’t see anything out of the ordinary.
There are a lot of new rules, but nothing special: the combination of Keeper Limit + Hand Limit + Inflation etc happens quite a lot, and has been tested and working.
Which is also proven by the fact that after browser reload you could just continue with the game and also place new Hand Limit rules.

So unable to reproduce, and not much to investigate further.
I will leave this open for a while, but unless it happens more often and we can get some additional info, I will probably close it as a temporary glitch.

I activated 'everybody gets 1'. Not sure why, but without inflation, I saw 10 cards (not 4, as expected in a 4-player game I suppose), I can click a card, but not click the button (there is no button).

Screen:

Top line says "You must resolve your action", below it says
Application loading... [Go Back]

Connecting to your game...

Select what you want to distribute to this player. Click the button when finished.

Then the 10 cards below the 'Everybody Gets 1' header, below that My hand etc etc.

'Going back' and entering the game again gives the same result every time. Ctrl-F5 as well.

Other players CAN call a vote to abandon the game, but my hamburger menu in the game also doesn't work after this error, so I can't abandon the game either. It's an offline turn-based game so it should stay alive for quite a bit!

It's not a general BGA or connection issue - I'm playing another game as we speak.

Tiny update: I managed to abandon game 379764171 by locally changing the javascript a bit. What was happening was that the tmpCardsSelectionForPlayer was called without a player_id for who to pick a card in its args; so it tried to get the name of the NULL player. Boom. I just changed that line to return "whut" in that case, which at least let the UI render (the button to give a card to 'whut' obviously didn't work, since player_id was still null). But this allowed me to press the abandon button and made my friends happy.
Hope the game and its state will stick around in the DB for a bit so you can check what was the case.
