I have seen this happen frequently, so I have no doubt there is a bug. Sometimes the player has more than 15 seconds left and when they play they are suddenly socked with a time penalty. Perhaps it has something to do with server lag?

I saw a similar effect today on Puerto Rico table 21193396, so this may not be limited to 6nimmt! I believe this happened at move 56 during the mayor phase. I had placed my colonists and then neglected to click on the continue button for 1.5 minutes. When I realized this, I clicked the button at the 1-minute mark. At no time during the game did I have less time than 1 minute, so I believe this is where the time penalty was erroneously added. I didn't notice the time penalty until the game was over. (My total thinking time was 12 minutes -- I am by no means a slow player.)

In this case in game #25477461 there was 3 players still having more than 2 minutes to play that all got the message that they had timed out. We finished the game but the game result was canceled as if there was a true timeout.
Only the player who it happended to first got the penalty.

I just noticed the time jumping around over the past couple days. It sometimes jumps by up to 30 minutes and if the game ends while the clock is wrong, it counts as running out of time.

I've seen this happen many times recently, for instance 6 nimmt! #48039661 where everyone was playing in a timely way but we all ended with timeout penalties, largely because the time would jump down after picks were already made.

I started the game with -10 days on the first move!
I am on BGA many times a day, so there is no way I missed even 1 days worth of turns, never mind 10.
I think even though I had chosen my card, my clock kept counting while waiting for another player who did take several days to play.
All the other players probably thought it was my fault and expelled me.

After the end of a round (hand), when the new hand was dealt several player clocks timed out and their cards were autoplayed, even though they were still at the table. Refreshing solved the autoplay problem, but the clocks remained timed out.

On several occasions have seen a timing error in 6 Nimmt, such as this table: boardgamearena.com/5/sechsnimmt?table=57891615

At the end of each round, each player would receive + 19 secs. When cards were placed on the table, I saw my time for example jump from -0:48 to -1:10. Other players experienced this too. I grew increasingly out of time, even if I only took 1 sec to decide and click on a card. Seems a bit bonkers? :)

Time bug continues to happen.
We were at a big table (10 players), clock just kept running down, no matter how much time a player used.
All players ended the game with time penalties.

Yeah, time penalty doesn't recover and it's too early, most players in long games (8 usually) end with time penalty. It makes no sense, last one 7 of us ended with time penalty xD

Timer appears to be running even after a player has selected a card. If other people are still choosing, anyone who has already selected the card is still penalized.
The game where I saw this was on a game where the time setting was "fast" and the original host for the game had been expelled before the game started.

We were playing in a normal pace, though for some reasons the times of the players, me included, were getting oddly low, agreed with all of us less the one who "cheated" that there was something wrong with the time, and suddently the game was cancelled, we guess it was because the unique player with a positive time abandoned, obviously to us, to cheat, since, again, the pace of the turns was quite fast, much faster than what the time was reflecting and his/her game was quite bad.

Everyone but 2 players on our game #91672262 were given time penalties. At some points my time remaining went up after each round, at some points it went down by a good 10-20 seconds.

When I select card I have time 0:09, when card are placing to the lines I have -0:09 & color of time is black. When i reload the page, color became red & time jump: i select card, time stopped at -0:09, when card is placing time became -0:20

I'm not sure about the other players, but my timer jumped about -10 seconds whenever I selected a card. I could never "bank" time because I appeared negative, even when selecting a card with a few seconds to spare.

It just happened in game boardgamearena.com/3/sechsnimmt?table=105139726. At some point the cards were not placed properly, then I had to refresh the tab. After refreshing it we were all overtime. After a while we were all kicked out of the game by because we were all "outtatime".

This occurred today in 6 nimmt! table #106384375.
Every player incurred time penalty despite playing cards well within the time limit. We all kept losing time despite everyone clicking on their cards almost immediately. At the end of the game, everyone was in between the range of -1:30 to -5:00, which is pretty ridiculous.

It happends to myself, but i have seen it before at other players: wehn you are new 0 seconds or in red numbers, the counter didnt give you back seconds correctly. Sometimes its working, but most of the time the number jumps forwards and backwards, but didnt add seconds. so its not possible, to come back to black numbers.

I've seen this effect sometimes. I wonder if it is because some players refresh in card laying stage so people's clocks start to count down when for them they are still waiting for cards to place on table.

Seeing this in Table №115100338 right now—I'll click a card right away and the time freezes, then once the last person selects their card, my time goes *down* by about 25 seconds. It's happening to everyone on the board—nobody's laggy and nobody's indecisive but only 3 of the 10 of us finished without any timeouts.

Same problem, It's recurrent in mode "tour par tour".
The time is not ok and give me a penality the same day of my last play.

9 player game, everyone would drop ~20 second when the cards started to play. Even the people who were last to pick a card in the round. This seemed to be happening every round right as the cards were put out and the first player either played to a row or had to then pick a row. We still gained the seconds we're supposed to: I'd pick a card at 2:22, time would drop to 2:01, next round my timer would start at 2:24.

in game 136433193 today all players ended up with time penalties. I believe I saw us lose time at the start of a couple of rounds, after everyone's timer was already in the negatives. I was also having trouble with scores not refreshing correctly - at one point my player statistics showed a player with -5 points, but when a new round started and I was confused, others told me he had 10 points. When I refreshed my browser it showed 10 for me. This happened in the middle of us accruing negative timer scores, so perhaps related somehow.

game n°143261813 (and most others I've played recently) - I mostly play 8-10 player games. During game play, only the timers for players still choosing their next card visibly count down BUT once the last player makes their selection ALL the timers jump down in time as if they had continued to count down. Thus, especially in FAST games, pretty much the entire field of players have negative time remaining. In the game referenced here, the only player without a time penalty at the end was the one who had double time because it was their first game. But nobody was playing slowly at all. The timers are deducting time from everyone even after they choose their play.

We were playing with FAST time, and every turn every player lost time even when they selected a card immediately.
By half-way through the game, every single player was at negative time.

The game results were neutralized because they said that someone got a time penalty and left the game, but in fact, no one had a time penalty and no one left the game.

My time would increase by 18 seconds when the turn started and my clock would stop as 2 seconds later as I immediately picked my card. However, once my everyone had chosen a card, my time decreased by 16 seconds. I was unaware of this until I received an out of time warning. It then happened every turn- gain 18 seconds, choose my card immediately and stop my clock, then lose 16 seconds once everyone chose a card.

10-player game and the clock suddenly started jumping down for everyone, despite fast play. One player eventualy got expelled by the game for being "too slow".

Happend the second time. This time at table #176744637. Normal Mode, fast game, 8 players. 18 seconds time were given at beginning of round, but more time was subtracted, when all cards were chosen. happened to everyone, until all players had negative time and one got finally automatically expelled, without really playing slow. Seems to be an issue with the fast game option. Happend in Firefox

In 6 nimmt! in my experience, the clock jumps down at least ten seconds after a player has finished their turn.

5 out of 7 players, including me, got socked with time penalties here for the sole reason being that the clock couldn't control itself and was subtracting 15-20 seconds every turn.

It subtracts the time that everyone spends watching the cards get placed. There is an annoying solution: refresh the page while the cards are being placed. You'll see the final card placement and get to think about your move while everyone else is watching the cards. IMHO players should not be penalized for time the game spends playing itself. We should not have to refresh every round to avoid this.

Everyone on the table #1845898238 (9 players) started going negative in their time limits as soon as the choose a card. After cards were chosen, during play, ~30 second was removed from each clock. By the end of the game, every play had a least a full minute negative of thinking time.

Played a nine player game, Table #184682834, and everyone was losing 20-35 seconds per turn between when all cards are chosen and the first card is played. Even taking only two to three seconds to choose your card you were hit with a time penalty. Players ranged from a -25 seconds (me with my first time penalty at this game) to -2:35. Please, fix this bug!

Happened to all players in boardgamearena.com/6/sechsnimmt?table=192237350. We were playing reasonably quickly and everyone went negative by the last hand. I managed to avoid the time penalty most of the game by refreshing the page when cards are placed, but again, we shouldn't have to do this.

I have experienced this bug several times in 6nimmt. I choose my card, and it stops my clock, but then once everyone plays it takes about 25 seconds off my clock. In some games other players have tried expel me because my clock was going negative, but this was because the game mode was supposed to give 27 seconds a turn and was effectively only giving me about 2 seconds because it would take so much time off my clock after I had already made my play.

Time stops when card is selected; wait for other players to choose card. Once everyone has chosen a card, everyone's time is docked by about ~14 seconds. Happened multiple times, ranging in time docked between 5-20 seconds every time. On second to last turn of the game, no time was even added for the new turn. On last turn, where the final card is automatically selected, everyone lost 11 seconds. Please fix this.

On all the games that I have played where everyone ended up with a time penalty, it was either a fixed time limit (tournament game) or the fast time limit.

I continually lobby against people playing on "fast". The game usually plays at the same speed when the timer is set to "normal". I can't imagine why people keep setting the timer to fast and dealing with this.

Why play on "fast" so that you can quit the game 1/2 way through and go sit in the lobby again waiting for a table to fill?

Everyone ended up with time penalty on table #226087089, time left frequently decreased even when playing in less than a second.
I think the bug is that the timer is still running during card placement animation, despite no one can play excepted by reloading the page (reload skip the animation and allow to play sooner).
That’s probably happen in any game (server does not know about animation times on client side) but is way more visible in this game as it is usually played quickly but animation time can be long with ten players.

This problem happened to ALL the players on game 253296989. I was finding that my clock was going down (or more negative) by as much as 20 or 25 seconds even if I had made my play within 1-2 seconds of the game being ready to accept my move. Other players' clocks seemed to be doing the same thing. None of the players seemed to be playing particularly slowly, and were often playing very quickly.

I've noticed this a couple of times recently on 6 Nimmt games with large numbers of players and Fast options. Could it be that the server is starting to count each player's move time as soon as it has determined what is going to happen, so our "move" time is being consumed by the animation of playing the cards onto the board, when we can only watch (and can't choose our next card until the animation is complete)?

A similar problem occurred on Table #257201649.
This table in 8 player, real time turn base(fast).

It did not give us time for some reason that was supposed to recover. Therefore, it has become some player time-out judgment though it was playing in time.
The page attempted to reload, but it did not improve. I think this is a processing issue, not a display issue.

This happened to us yesterday too at table #261004023. We all chose our cards quickly, in 5-10 seconds. But then the game deducted about 12 seconds from all of our clocks. This happened consistently during every single game turn -- We'd all pick our cards, we'd have about 0:30, then all our game clocks would suddenly decrease and we'd have about 0:20.

Here is a screenshot of the bug in action -- you can see players choose their cards quickly (some as fast as 3 seconds) but we all lose 10 additional seconds after our cards are chosen.

I have this bug on several Times on play turn by turn.
I am connected a minima twice per day. And sometimes my timing is negativ like -36h. It’ not possible.

I have noticed this time error over the last several days playing this game, it seams to be getting worse, your time clock changes randomly after picking a card and when placing cards on the table. I was at table #288757195.
A new thing happend tonight when All players after the thrid dealing of cards every player was in the negitive time, than all of a sudden it switched to a turn based game. I have never ever seen that happen middle of a game.
The time penalty posted to everyone account should hopefully be removed as it is a error in the game not on the player. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. The game was finished by all players which was great even tho we all occured a penalty on time.

Every single person on our game had time penalties. There were 10 of us playing, and every single person was listed as negative time, even though all of us played and responded in timely manners.

In a ten-player 6 Nimmt #293884648, a player legitimately timed out, and then subsequently 6 others left. For some reason, despite me clicking on a card the moment I was allowed to, my time would still go down. The 7 bots timers then also were losing time but at the rate of what I have come to know as a reasonable rate. Maybe this is a different issue. I don't know if any time was added to our timers.

Everyone's holding time decreased abnormally. Normally, when a card is selected, the clock stops, but it seems that the time is being counted as it is.

6 nimt, all players but 1 had negative time despite playing fast (and faster than 1:54 that was the parameter of this table). Impossible to increase time...
Even if we collectively abandonned the game because it was a non sense, we all got a penality.

J'ai fini la partie, je clique sur Quitter la partie, je n'attend de savoir combien j'ai gagné ou perdu d'étoiles car je reçois un appel téléphonique.
Après je quitte l'application. Puis quand je l'ouvre le lendemain on m'indique que je perds des points de karma car je n'ai pas fini la partie.

How, 7 years on from this being reported, is this not fixed? pretty straight forward. have a fast game, with 8+ players. If your developers can't reproduce the bug, then they're fucking incompetent.

It would seem that after I played a card, the time would stop. [As it should.]
However, when the last player to play a card played, the time would decrease instantly by an additional amount. It seems to be tied to the amount of time for the _last_ player to play.
With everyone(?) getting the decrease in time of the slowest player the game runs out of time too quickly AND more players are liable to get a penalty.

Table 380792858 experienced this too. It seems a player's clock appears to stop (as expected) when they choose a card, but internally it actually keeps counting until ALL players have chosen their cards. Once the last card is chosen, the times update to a new value with many more seconds gone. On a fast game with lots of players, this results in everyone being out of time by the end of the game.

I didn't notice this happening until the last few turns, once *my* time was negative, but it seems like it was happening every turn. I was choosing cards quickly so that shouldn't have happened. I didn't try F5.

Every time i played, i lost even more time. At the end of the game, my reflexion time was up to 15 minutes while other players were near 4 minutes

Timer put everyone in negative time, some even by 1, 2 or 3 minutes even though they were picking cards quickly. Then the 20-second countdown to being expelled kept going off - obviously I don't know if someone purposely tried to skip players or if this was part of the bug as well.
This happens constantly in Fast games with a large number of players (8, 9 or 10). Please fix it!

it seems that the timer on the server doesn't stop after player chosen a card, and next turn player has even less time than was show by the end of the previous turn.

Detail for repro: the long animation in 6 nimmt! followed by the simultaneous turn is key to bugfinding here. If any player refreshes/loads the page before the animation finishes, they can access gameplay early (up to 20 sec or so). I think after everyone submits a card the clock is reconciled against the earliest "turn start" (or something similar). If you are the one to refresh, everyone's clock is ticking from the moment you load back in, and there's no such jumping behaviour seen by that player. People's clocks are ticking even though those players have a dead interface until the animation completes.

Now, it's the opposite! In a normal speed game which should add 18 secs per turn, it adds about 30-60 seconds.

A player who wants to be annoying can make every turn take almost a minute!
Why can't this game just add the amount of time it's supposed to?

It Is not fixed at all, even worse. I was online, moved in the same second, or Just One more and my time went from +32minutes tò - 26 minutes. As well for la torre but not for the player that moving last! Really disappointing
