you can only advance the gear twice when taking the starting player action, not any time you are starting player. Based on your description I'm not sure this is a bug. If it was when you took starting player could you point to the game and move number?

seen also in game 17915857 around turn 190,
I was not the lead player, and palce my pawn where expected!
Nothing was proposed to adwance the gear once or twice.

i also got this bug

first time i picked up SP i was offered to advance the gear twice. [chose not to]
second time i did (turn 25) i wasn't offered at all. (game number : Tzolk'in #21730235)

When it becomes your turn to be first player - other players are getting an option to "take first player token" and then it asks them if they want to advance the wheel once or twice - but it's never come up for me.

I cannot say exactly how to reproduce the problem, but if there are logs produced by Tzolk’in, I have a game instance in which this occurred and I am willing to do code or log reviews to try to identify the potential criteria for reproducing the problem. The game is #82076902. In that game, the previous turn by Tass237, completed on May 15, produced the issue. This is a family game with no expiration so it will stay around until we get rid of it. #82076902
