During the game, my time to answer is positive. Suddenly, it is my turn and the remaining time is red without warning, penalising me wrongly.

During your turn, the timer is reset (to 2:30) each time you make a move.

But then, once the word is guessed, all the time taken during your turn takes away from your timer at once - so if you took one minute, it goes to 1:30, but if you took five, it goes to -2:30.

You can see this here where a player's turn took 5:39 and their timer is at -3:07

Can you change it so that the timer doesn't reset each time you make a move, and you can actually see how much time you have left before you get a penalty?

Maybe add an option where you can have the game automatically click the "Give Up" button for you when you only have a certain amount of time left on the clock before you take a penalty.

I confirm everything that is said here, and the fact that the timer dicreases suddenly with no reason is boring and give us time penalty for nothing
