Well, I don't see a benefit for that, but I may be wrong.

When a player proposes a rematch, the roles would be switched so you can have some control if you play more than one match.

For tournaments it would be better to implement best of 3/5 which is described in another suggestion.

I don't know what other way to implement apart from host choosing a role, but I think that it could be misused for building up ELO.

If you have a different idea, please post it here, but I don't see the benefit in this suggestion as is.

Thanks for suggestion anyway. I want this adaptation to be the best possible so every suggestion is valuable

If something like this is added it will be exploited to more easily gain ELO/victories.

Would it be possible to limit such settings to 'Training games'? If so it would probably be a welcome addition that cannot be exploited.

This can work if we implement it like this: first player (randomly selected) which normally gets the role of detective can choose role to play.
This cannot be exploited (given that detective is a role that is easier to play and win) because the player which will normally be detective, can choose to be Mr. Jack.
And this can be useful in casual play.
