The screen shows the other players timer counting down so I think they haven't played yet. If I refresh my screen it then shows that it's been my turn and my timer has been counting down. Basically, the other player did play but the screen never showed their card played and it appeared that their timer was still counting down. If I hadn't refreshed my screen, I would have run out of time and probably been booted from the game for slow play.
