Solution could be related to boardgamearena.com/bug?id=16268 (Training mode defaulting) even though these don't overlap exactly.

Retaining settings in general (some globally, some per game) would be a really great idea.

This is a very useful suggestion. There are hundreds of games on the site, and it is redundant to have to make the same settings on each of our favorites. Even if there is no global setting, perhaps an interface could be created to allow changing the settings for multiple games at once. Perhaps a way to select which games you would like to make changes to.

Provide a global setting which you can override per game. Indicate somehow that these are different and include a "restore global settings" button.

Also, don't forget about turn-based, which have even more options, particularly the long list of times of day you're willing to make turns.

I'm completely on board with this.

I often use BGA *to discover new games* and as such I find myself constantly updating the game speed preferences of a new game or worse, forgetting to do so, and finding myself in a game with a speed that just doesn't satisfy at all. I personally MUCH prefer 4 or 6 moves a day, and find 1 move every two day to be all-but unplayable. Getting tired of manually updating every game, with some 300 I've yet to try...

It would be awesome if you could have the global setting to decide how I want to play.
Example -
Instead of clicking on every game and choosing "I don't want to play 1 turn every 2 days" have a global setting that if I state "I only want to play games that are "4 turns per day" and the other options.

Then, only those games would be what populate. That way, we can find only the games we want and not have to click on every single game when looking for one to play to find they are all being played slower than we would like.

Many of the advanced settings should be GLOBAL settings. There is no reason someone should have to set their preference to play with people that have a Karma score of 75+ on each individual game. Please move general, non-game specific settings to a GLOBAL SETTINGS area and have them apply to everything.

Really want this. It's a waste of time to have to set the same preferences on every game I play. How is there not an option to set global preferences?
