After exploring, I wanted to take some of my 4 points as devotion, but the game just added 4 points to my score without giving me the option to choose how I wanted to receive it.

I also have a machine that allows me to trade points for devotion at 1:1 but was not able to use that since I wasn't given the option to choose how I wanted my points.
