IMO it would be better if discard pile positioning was below the column of players characters, because when you expand that pile now, cards cover the character and, eventually, almost all the player zone.• מה הדפדפן שלך?

I think add another row below players and kraken spaces, with "draw" pile and then discard pile, would be enough.

Rejected, doing so requires too much space and forces players to scroll up and down constantly.

I agree with this, the kraken deck obscures the discard pile.
Perhaps have the kraken deck splay vertically down? Or even just slightly stagger/offset so the tops of one of the card piles is still visible.
