See the X paradox for more information. Basically, you are misinterpreting what a ❌ means. It does not mean "This is not true". Rather, it means "This is not the one fact that I *know* to be true". It's perfectly possible other things on the card will *also* be true, but the verifier will know nothing about that; it will only respond based on the one fact that it knows.
